I have been a strength coach and personal trainer for over 7 years. My passion is getting people stronger, moving better, and more athletic, and keeping them out of pain. I teach people how to move their body well, then move well under load, including how to squat, pull, push and deadlift. 'Movement is medicine' but this medicine in its dosage and intensity will differ depending on what you and your body needs. I assess, ask, then apply the knowledge and experience I have in training (for mobility and strength) so that every client I work with is pushed to continue progressing, no matter where they start or where they are.
My experience also includes clients who have Parkinson's Disease, clients who have undergone knee and hip replacements, to work with their physiotherapists and other allied health professionals, to assist in their rehab and getting them stronger outside their clinical sessions. I have worked with clients across all age groups, from teenagers to older clients in their sixties and seventies.

I have worked with many clients, including strength athletes who compete in powerlifting, strongman and bodybuilding. Aside from clients who sought FST to enhance recovery and performance, majority of my clients have sought FST for the purposes of pain relief. I have seen both one off and multiple FST sessions benefit those who suffer from chronic pain such as migraines, stiff neck, invisible illnesses such as endometriosis, and areas of pain and stiffness that had persisted after accidents, injuries, bulging discs or scar tissue post-surgery. Due to the gentle nature of the treatment and the way it synchronises stretching with deep breathing, it also increases parasympathetic drive (i.e. lets you feel relaxed and allows the part of the nervous system that makes us feel safe, rest and digest kick in), reduces stress and tension.
Outside my formal education, I have attended courses run by other reputable strength coaches and educators, including Derek Woodske, Muscle Nerds, Eugene Teo, and John Rusin.

Outside my formal education, I have attended courses run by other reputable strength coaches and educators, including Derek Woodske, Muscle Nerds, Eugene Teo, and John Rusin.
I also identify as an athlete, and have been training for over 10 years. I have done competitive powerlifting for over 3 years, and broke the National Bench Press Record (82.5kg) for the U57kg Female Opens in 2019. I have also been doing aerial hoop (Lyra) for the past 2 years and have done 3 performances (1 amateur competition) to date. Being a ground (powerlifting and weightlifting requires stability to move heavy weights and generate adequate force) and air based athlete (which requires mobility and flexibility in very end ranges of movement) has taught me patience, perseverance, and above all that achieving BOTH stability AND mobility is difficult, BUT POSSIBLE. I was the epitome of unathletic during my primary and high school years, but my years of training has taught me that you do not have to be naturally athletic or talented to learn how to move your body, train and get stronger. The benefit of training is that anyone can start and get better, and continued progress is guaranteed when under the guidance of a good coach who can listen, observe, and align your training with your current capacity, future projected capabilities and goals.
